TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie to Professor E [Edward] A [Albert] Schafer, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date12 March 1908
DescriptionThe paper by Messrs Lochhead and Cramer on "The Glycogenic changes in the placenta and the foetus of the pregnant rabbit" has received careful consideration. The Chairman has come to the conclusion that the paper is considerably longer than he feels justified in passing. Geikie offers the opportunity, before referring the question to the Sectional Committee, of proposing to the author a condensation of the paper. The Chairman are prepared to authorize if the paper is compressed to half the length, with the tables, and not more than 15 pages in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society].
