TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Secretary, H M Office of Works
Date13 March 1908
DescriptionAdverting to Harrison's enquiry he shall be much obliged to know whether the H M Commissioners of Works have arrived at a definite conclusion with regard to the control of the gate in the corner of the Quadrangle of Burlington House. In the meantime Harrison has deferred responding to the invitation of the Royal Academy of Arts to exchange the key and is suffering considerable inconvenience by being excluded from the use of that gate. Harrison understands from the other learned societies in Burlington that it has been stated on behalf of H M Office of Works that all Societies in the building have equal rights over the passage which extends from Burlington Gardens to Piccadilly, but this is useless if they are prevented having passage by reason of the Royal Academy of Arts exercising control over the gates at both ends of the passage.
