Date23 March 1908
Description'Dear Capt Lyons,
Sir John Evans has suggested that you might be willing to send for exhibition at the forthcoming Soiree some examples illustrating the results of recent excavations in Nubia. The Soiree Committee, before who the matter came, would be very glad indeed to have an exhibit of this kind, and will be much obliged if you will kindly arrange for one. The Soiree is fixed for Wednesday May 13th, a date which should ensure our receiving the exhibit in good time. I enclose a schedule for particulars of space and other requirements.'
