DescriptionHarrison acknowledges the receipt of a letter, enclosing a sealed packet, referring to "The trisection of angles" with a request that the Royal Society should archive these solutions to secure priority and subject them to scientific examination. Harrison has no power to receive any paper intended to be laid before the council unless communicated by a Fellow or Foreign member and therefore is obliged to return the communication.
