TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr C [Charles] W [William] Andrews FRS
Date21 January 1908
DescriptionIf reference to Dr Andrew's letter of the 15th instant, a revise paper will be sent to him but requests that the manuscript be returned as it did not accompany the proof. Harrison address that there is no material gain of having the first proof in slip. In regard to illustrations, proofs were sent to Dr Andrews yesterday, Harrison informs that, due to reasons outlined, he does not feel justified in certifying Collings' bill for payment by the [Royal] Society. Harrison writes that the whole difficulty illustrates the great objections to departing from usual practice, if Dr Andrews writes a general letter raising the question of liability of authors to prepare finished drawing at their own cost Harrison would be glad to raise the questions in the Committee of Papers.
