DescriptionThe letter (22329/07) dated 30th December of Sir S H Murray enclosing the report of the Treasury Committee of Inquiring regarding the National Physical Laboratory, and stating that that Treasury are prepared on their part to accept the Report. Larmor is instructed to reply by the President and Council to state they accept in principle the recommendations contained in the report. The Executive Committee of the National Physical Laboratory have expressed their readiness to use their best endeavours to carry the report into effect. The Committee also trust that should the future result be a financial loss, the Treasury will give the matter favourable consideration as suggested in the Report.
