DescriptionIn the absence of the President Harrison acknowledge the receipt of Madame Janssen's letter and the account of the Obsequies of the Royals Society's lamented Foreign Minister, Monsieur Janssen. Harrison writes that he is sure the President will learn with deep regret that the message of condolence did not reach her and he encloses of a copy of the message sent December 24.
