TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to The Secretary to the Agent General for the Cape of Good Hope, 100 Victoria Street, S.W.
Date18 June 1908
DescriptionIn response to their letter on the subject of the payment by the Cape Government of £600 to meet the expenses of publishing the results of the Magnetic Survey of South Africa, Larmor is to say that insamuch as Professor Beattie, who is assisting the work through press, will be leaving the Cape in November on an expedition, it is necessary that the work be finished before that date. The Royal Society would be glad if the Agent General would communicate with the Cape Government by telegraph in order that a definite reply may be given to the letter from this office.
