TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Lady Evans
Date20 June 1908
DescriptionCouncil has passed a resolution which Geikie now shares, and they desire to convey to Lady Evans their deepest sympathy at her great loss. Council has already asked Geikie to prepare the obituary notice of Sir John Evans. Although he was an old friend, there are some branches of his wide ranging work which he is not so sure about. Asks if there are family and personal matters over and above those mentioned in the Geological Magazine. [Alfred Bray Kempe] showed him a copy of the notice she sent.
