TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to W J Downer, H M Office of Works, Storey's Gate, S.W.
Date6 August 1908
DescriptionHarrison is sorry to hear that Sir Schonberg McDonnell's illness prevented the meeting with the Treasurer and himself on the matter of renewing the boiler. As Downer suggested Harrison write again, he asks that the request for the installation of a new boiler be laid before the proper authorities. Understands that the estimate is being prepared, and so asks if the work can be put in hand. Lays out points made in previous correspondence regarding the obligation of expense on the Royal Society, namely, that the list of services that the Office of Works would undertake includes repairs to the heating apparatus.
