TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to James R Sankey, Queensland Court, Franco-British Expedition
Date8 August 1908
DescriptionIt appears a misunderstanding has delayed a reply to his letter of 17 [July?]. From the nature of the introduction which he sent, his visit was much looked forward to, and every courtesy would have been shown. Unfortunately, the vacation of the Royal Society having been started by then, there was no opportunity of him being welcomed at one of the meeting. There is very little here on offer, apart from the sight of the rooms and a few relics. If he is still in England when the session re-opens, the President will surely be glad to welcome him at any of the meetings.
