TitleCopy letter from A H White, to Professor Arthur Gamgee, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date4 September 1908
DescriptionIs much distressed to hear of the misfortune to the Haller negative. Collings have sent the second negative to Berne, and they are very sorry for what has happened. The fault is doubtless theirs, although they affirmed they had packed them in the same manner they always pack negatives for transport. They seem to have an excess of confidence in this regard. However, as the second negative was sent straight away, it can be surmised that there is not much harm done. The ten copies of the Address are to hand and await Gamgee at the Royal Society. It looks very handsome.
