TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Dr [James Hartley] Ashworth, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date30 September 1908
DescriptionA S Huth has sent an estimate regarding the illustrations of Ashworth's 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper. He undertakes to reproduce Plate One in two printings, Plates Two, Three and Four in three printings, Plate Five in fourteen printings and Plate Six in collotype. He states 1,000 copies will amount to £90. He can alternatively work out a cost for £70 by using engraving and two printings for plates One to Four, and ten for Plate Five on white rag[?] paper. Werner and Winter estimated £143. If Ashworth would still like the latter he should communicate with them directly, but this will mean considerably more expense.
