TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor [John Bretland] Farmer, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date12 June 1908
DescriptionHe is no doubt aware that the paper by Professor Buller on Spores of Hymenomycetes that he communicated has been held up all this time. It has been considered by the physicists and botanists, and their long deliberations have resulted in it being passed for publication in 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]', subject to abbreviation and material restrictions[?] in illustrations. However the author says he cannot agree to this reduction to his figures. There are now two options: refer the matter to Council, or withdraw the paper. Geikie favours the latter.
