Description'Dear Mr Heape,
With reference to the paper by Dr E Emrys-Roberts on "The embedding if the embryo guinea-pig in the uterine wall and its nutrition at that stage of development", communicated by you to the Royal Society, I have to inform you that reports unfavourable to the publications of the paper by the Society have been received from two referees. Under these circumstances it is suggested by the Chairman of the Physiology Sectional Committee that you may wish ti withdraw the paper, and I shall be glad if you will let me know whether you are willing to adopt this suggestion.'
