TitleCopy letter from John Rose Bradford to Captain McCarrison
Date9 December 1908
Description'Dear Captain McCarrison,
In reply to your letter I would venture to suggest that your purpose would be met if you published as suggested an abstract of the paper in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society] and the full paper elsewhere. The abstract might well be called a preliminary communication. This is a very usual custom and I think it would meet all the requirements of your case.'
