TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Mrs Gore Fysh
Date4 January 1909
Description'Dear Madam,
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 1st instant and to assure you of the regret with which the news of Dr Gore's death will be received by the Society. It is not usual for any comment to be made at the meeting of Council when the deaths of Fellows are reported, but some Fellow of the Society is generally asked to write a memoir of the deceased for publication in the Proceedings of the Society. Copies of any such memoir of your father will certainly be supplied to you, and it might help the Council if you could suggest to me the name of any Fellow of the Society who was closely acquainted with Dr Gore.
Allow me to add an expression of my sincere sympathy with you in your loss.'
