The three thermometers were duly received this morning, but I find that they are much too expensive for our purpose. The thermometers which were temporarily in use here by the Office of Works were much smaller and I was told did not cost more that about 4/6 each. I shall ob obliged if you will supply me with three thermometers about this price as we have no use for anything more expensive.' |
