Description'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of January 23, and reverting to my subsequent conversation with your representative at the bank, I am desired by the Treasurer to ask you to be good enough to open provisionally the account referred to in his letter of the 20th ultimo, for which purpose I enclose a cheque of £300 and to honor his cheques upon the account until the formal authority enclosed in your letter under reference can be executed by the Council, which will not meet before the 18th instant.
Please also supply a cheque book at your earliest convenience.'
