TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Reverend A E Sorby
Date5 January [February] 1909
Description'My dear Sir,
I received yesterday your letter of the 3rd, enclosing an Inland Revenue form which you request me to sign. The only place for signature on the form, other than for those Government officers, appears to be that containing a receipt for the full legacy of £15,000 mentioned in Dr Sorby's Will. Since I have no power to giver the Society's receipt for a payment of this character, and particularly a receipt in advance, such as this appears to be, I have communicated with the Treasurer of the Society on the subject, and will write to you again with the least possible delay.'
