Description'My dear Sir,
In reply yo your note of the 24th instant, I am afraid I cannot give you any information about John Carstairs of Warboys. The only Carstairs in our Record of Fellows is John Carstairs Esq. of Woodhouse in Huntingdonshire and Stratford in Essex, who was elected on March 14th, 1811. He is described in his Certificate as "A gentleman well acquainted with several branches of mathematics and natural science".
We have no information here with regard to the relatives of Fellow of the Society.'
