TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr H [Henry] A [Alexander] Miers, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date2 March 1909
Description'Dear Dr Miers,
We are engraving the figures to your Phil[osophical] Trans[actions of the Royal Society] paper and a question arises about Fig. 4, which I enclose. The photograph as it stands is rather large for the page, i.e. too wide for the letterpress. If reproduced as it is, the figure would have to be placed sideways on the paper, and the book would have to be turned round to view it. If however the electric motor on the left could be omitted the figure would then go properly on the page in the usual way. Would you kindly decided which of these modes of reproduction you would prefer.'
