TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to A [Aubrey] Strahan, Fellow of the Royal Society, Geological Survey, Jermyn Street, SW
Date5 March 1909
Description'Dear Sir,
With reference to your letter of February 22nd, making application for a copy of Part XXII (Foraminifera) of the Challenger Reports, I learn from a recent return made by HM Stationery Officer of the available stock of 'Challenger' volumes that the stock of odd copies of Part XXII is quite exhausted. In these circumstances it is very unlikely that HM Treasury will consent to one of the few remaining complete sets of the 'Challenger' Reports being broken in order to supply a single Part; if however you wish to press your application, a requisition will be sent to the Stationery Office, although I am afraid their is little likelihood of its being successful.'
