TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Victor Alexander Haden Horsley, Fellow of the Royal Society, 80 Park Street, Grosvenor Square, W.
Date4 February 1891
DescriptionDr [Michael] Foster did not forget Surgeon Evan's paper and enquired last Thursday whether it was in the house, Rix told him it was not and therefore it was deferred until the manuscript should arrive. Dr Foster said he had already explained to Horsley that the Royal Society never announce a paper till the manuscript has arrived. As a postscript Rix notes Foster has just arrived. If Horsley is anxious to have the paper read tomorrow he can, provided he sends in the manuscript, but they cannot get the abstract printed for the meeting in time.
