| Description | Rix notes the Royal Society does not have lectures. Every Thursday papers are read but there is no programme for the session. Hayes may be confusing them with the Royal Institution who have lectures and publish a programme, the Institution's function being to address the public whereas the Society's is merely the mutual communication of discoveries. |
