TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster
Date19 May 1890
DescriptionGeneral [Richard] Strachey's report after two telegrams and three letters arrived only late on Saturday and Rix cannot get it printed off till tomorrow. It seems hardly worth while to circulate it as the meeting is the next day. Rix has learnt privately from Messrs Harrison that Vernon Harcourt's paper on the Mersey is being printed as a pamphlet and the title states that it was ready before the Royal Society. Rix supposes there is no objection to this since he had leave to re-publish and a pretty full abstract appeared in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'.
