TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt]
Date11 July 1890
DescriptionProfessor Clifton to whom Rayleigh suggested Rix refer Mr Chaney's paper in Mr Glazebrook's absence, writes that he is just leaving home and will not be back for a fortnight. Unless Rix hears from his Lordship to the contrary, Rix will keep the paper at the Royal Society until Clifton's return and then send it to him. Rix did not have any instruction regarding Huggins' paper after Rayleigh had consulted with the President. Rix wonders if it may go into the pages with the pencilled corrections in his Lordship's handwriting.
