TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Victor Alexander Haden Horsley, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date22 July 1890
DescriptionThe plates of the Orang [orang-utan] paper are in the house and Rix was on the point of writing to ask Horsley's views on the reproduction of the plates. The referees have reported favourably and the Secretaries have decided to proceed with the paper. As soon as Horsley lets him know the style of plates he would like, Rix will obtain estimates. Meanwhile, Fleming will keep the plates in the house until Fleming has made fresh negatives. Rix has no news regarding the other paper and fears the referee may be away from home. He will write again about it today.
