TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Secretary, Elphistone College, Bombay, India
Date24 September 1890
DescriptionThe 1887-1888 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' were sent by parcel post at the College's request understanding that this was the only way in which the Society could ensure their reaching, and that the College was willing to refund the postage. The postage at 15 shillings and eight pence has not yet been refunded. The Society has accordingly witheld the volumes for 1889 presuming that the postage is too costly. Rix wonders if there is another means by which they should be sent.
