DescriptionThe President has handed Rix; Allen's letter to him of 27 August, Allen's further letter to him of 18 September, and a copy of an extract from a memorandum of the Toronto University Librarian dated 24 July. Rix would be glad if Allen could throw some light on the whereabouts of the Royal Society's gift of the following items to Toronto University; 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' 1830-1890, 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' volumes 16-46, Fort Rae Observations, Krakatoa Report, Dr Robert Lendlmayer von Lendenfeld's Monograph of Horny Sponges, catalogue of the library, and the catalogue of portraits. It is a series matter if all these are missing.
