TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Miss Dora Schmitz, care of Professor Young, University of Glasgow
Date17 October 1890
DescriptionThe Catalogue Department is superintended by a lady and Miss Schmitz would work under her. The hours would be ten to five and the work would be reading and correcting the titles written by copyists. A good knowledge of French and German would be requisite. Rix does not think it would be worth Miss Schmitz returning from Scotland as the pay would be small, not more than £70 or £80 per year. They shall see candidates on Tuesday but Rix could see Schmitz on Wednesday between eleven and four if more convenient.
