TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Putnam & Sons, 27 King William Street, Strand
Date5 February 1890
DescriptionRegarding Brown and [Sharpey-]Schafer's plates. In answer to the Messrs letter of yesterday Rix wrote to the Cambridge Scientific Instrument Company who executed the plates to Messrs Brown and [Sharpey-]Schafer's paper immediately upon receipt of the Messrs letter of 7 Janaury, to ascertain whether the figures were still on the stone. They replied that they were not. If the Messrs intend to re-publish the paper the plates will therefore need to be redrawn. Any arrangement regarding this must be between the Messrs and the Cambridge Compayn. The Society itself cannot supply any plates.
