TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Allan Wyon
Date21 November 1890
DescriptionRix received Wyon's note. Dr [John] Evans telegraphed Rix to send the dies. Rix saw Evans last night and Evans says his intention was that Wyon should at once strike the medal provided that he is able to do so in time for the anniversary. The medal would have to be delivered to the Society on 29 November for presentation on the 1 December. The medal is to be silver and engraved with the name [Alfred Russel Wallace] as specified in a previous letter. Rix asks Wyon to let the bearer know if this will be possible.
