TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Rector, The University of Louvain
Date27 April 1909
Description'Sir,
The Council of the Royal Society having every desire to take part in the celebrations of the 75th Anniversary of the Restoration of the University of Louvain, invited Professor Bertram Windle, one of their Fellows, to represent them at the celebrations. I now regret to inform you that at the last moment Professor Windle finds himself unavoidably detained in Ireland in connection with the Royal Commission on Irish Universities, and time unfortunately does not admit of securing the services of another Fellow of the Society to attend your festivities.'
