Description'Dear Sir,
I have to acknowledge your letter of the 15th instant enclosing a cheque for £60, for which I send a formal receipt.
With regard to Sir Robert Hadfield's admission into the Society the Council will be asked on Thursday tp extend the time for his admission to such date as he can be in England. The meetings in the Session after June 10 are June 17 and 24, and if Sir Robert is prevented from attending at either of those dates his admission will have to be deferred until the Autumn.'
