TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Miss M C Stopes
Date17 May 1909
DescriptionHarrison acknowledges the receipt of Miss Stope's letter accompanying her and Professor Fujii's paper on Cretaceous Plants. The abstract she has send is quite suitable for the Proceedings of the Royal Society if the paper is published in the Philosophical Transaction of the Royal Society, but in the event of the paper being read, the Society now ask for a short summary not exceeding 300 words. Harrison fears that Miss Stope's stipulation for the return of her paper and diagrams by May 27, if not published, cannot happen because it is unlikely a decision about publication will be made before then and the statutes enact that once read a paper cannot be withdrawn.
