Description'Dear Sir,
In pursuance of my letter of the 2nd July I now have to inform you that the Council of the Royal Society have accepted your plan and estimates contained in your letters of June 26 and 29, amounting to £258, for providing and erecting book stacks in the basement of this building, on the condition that the work is completed all clear for the reception of books within nice weeks of to-morrow - that is, by September 11th; under the proviso that we have the room cleared for you to enter by August 28th.
I shall be glad to have your confirmation of this undertaking and to hear that the work will be put in hand at once.'
