Description'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of March 30, the only information I can obtain from our records with regard to John and Philip Hardwick is as follows:-
John Hardwick was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society on April 5, 1838 and is described as "DCL Oxon, Barrister-at-Law, residing in Albany, Piccadilly. A gentleman much attached to Literature and science".
Phillip Harkdwick was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society on December 8, 1831 and is described as of 60 Russell Square, Architect, FSA, a gentleman skilled in various branches of science".'
