TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr S [Sidney] F [Frederic] Harmer FRS
Date16 July 1909
Description'Dear Dr Harmer, I have received your postcard of yesterday's date suggesting Professor Bateson as referee for Miss Sollas' paper on the "Inheritance of colour and of superhumerary mammae in guinea pigs". Miss Sollas' paper is one of three papers which have been communicated to the Society by the Evolution Committee, with a recommendation that they be published as Report V to the Evolution Committee. As Professor Bateson acts as Secretary to the Evolution Committee, and in that capacity communicated the Committee's recommendation of publication to the Society, you may perhaps be prepared to authorize the printing of the paper in the Evolution Reports without a further expression of opinion from him, in which case I shall be glad if you will let me have a note of your concurrence.'
