TitleCopy letter from The Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Mrs Tempest
Date18 August 1909
DescriptionThe Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society presents his compliments to Mrs Tempest and regrets to say that he has failed to find, either in the printed list of Fellows of the period, or in the Journal Book of the Society, any note as to whether the Mr William Tempest who was elected a Fellow in 1712 was on "Shepards" on "Inner Temple". A Signature of William Tempest exists in the Charter book of the Society but before a copy of this can be made it is necessary to obtain formal permission of the Council of the Royal Society.
