Description'Dear Sir,
Professor Bradford, as Secretary, wishes to obtain your advice as a referee upon a paper by Messrs G A Buckmaster and J A Gardner on "The supposed presence of carbon monoxide in normal blood and in the blood of animals anaesthetised with cloroform" if you are willing to read the paper. The paper, which has been communicated by Dr Waller with a view to publication in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society], is estimated to print to about 12 pages, and I shall be glad if you will let me know on the enclosed card whether I may send it to you for report.'
