TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor John Rose Bradford, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date22 October 1909
DescriptionSir William Crookes has been in touch to say that in order to carry out the experiments on coloured glass which the Committee on Glass Workers' Cataract has assigned to him, he requires a much hotter furnace than he possesses, and that an electrical one would cost about £35. He wishes to know whether he would be considered justified in charging this expenditure to the Committee, as he does not feel inclined to incur it out of his own pocket. William de Wiveleslie Abney has been in contacted on the matter. Asks Bradford to minute his opinion.
