| Description | Sending the Chairman's note on Miss Jean White's paper on the 'Enzyme of Drosora' [no enclosures]. The procedure suggested is irregular, and if allowed to grow into practice would sow confusion. There are only three legitimate courses for a paper after it has been considered: to accept it for reading and publication, for it to be withdrawn, or for it to be rejected and put into the archives. It is not the function of the Royal Society to help author's write their papers. In this case it would seem the best course would be to withdraw the paper, not remain in a state of suspended animation. |
