TitleCopy letter from [Joseph Larmor], to The Secretary, H M Treasury
Date21 January 1910
Description1. The letter of Sir George Murray relating to the projected transfer of Kew and Eskdalemuir Observatories from the National Physical Laboratory to the Meteorological Office has bee submitted to President and Council, and the proposal stated therein is under consideration.

2. In view of the difficulty as to the provision of funds for capital expenditure, President and Council consider it desirable to defer for a time expressing the views of the Royal Society with regard to the scheme proposed by the Executive Committee for the development of work done at the National Physical Laboratory, which they understand has been informally communicated in advance to Sir George Murray for the convenience of the Treasury.
