TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Messrs Robarts, Lubbock & Company
Date26 January 1910
DescriptionIn the general account passbook, under the date 8 January, there is a debit entry which runs 'Unpaid, £1.1.0'. It appears that this is a debit for 'cheque on N P Bk Hereford, returned unpaid'. It is believed that this refers to annual subscription by a Colonel Malcolm, for certain publications posted to him. If that is the case, then no credit entry appears in the passbook. It is possible that Malcolm has countermanded his subscription for the current year, and the Royal Society is debited a guinea without any reason. Requests them to send an explanation.
