TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr W [William] N [Napier] Shaw FRS
Date29 April 1910
Description'Dear Shaw,
I enclose a copy of a letter received by the Secretaries of the Royal Society with regard to a small Fund collected by the late Lord Rosee for the maintenance of magnetic observations at Valencia Observatory.
The matter has to-day been before the Council of the Royal Society, and they are willing to assent to the proposal that the Fund should be transferred to the Royal Society in trust for the maintenance of the observations referred to, provided the Meteorological Committee are prepared permanently to continue those observations and to receive the income of the Fund for that purpose.
I should be obliged therefore if you would lay the matter before the Meteorological Committee and communicate their decision to me at an early date.'
