Description'Dear Sir,
The recommendations of the Executive Committee of the National Physical laboratory with reference to the retiring allowance of Dr [Charles] Chree, forwarded in your letter of April 19 last, were laid before the President and Council at their Meeting last week, when it was "resolved: that the recommendations be approved; and that the additional sum to be paid by the Executive Committee into the National Physical Laboratory Pension Fund be fixed at £125 per annum for the next ten years; and that this additional provision for Dr Chree's retiring allowance be made a charge on the said Fund."'
