TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor W [William] M [Mitchinson] Hicks FRS
Date23 May 1910
Description'Dear Professor Hicks,
Sir Joseph Larmor has handed me your letter of May 13 on the subject of Mr Hatfield's paper "The chemical physics involved in the precipitation of free carbon" &c and has requested me to say that he agrees with your suggestion that the author should re-draft the whole paper in the light of the referees' criticisms with a view to making it suitable for the Proceedings [of the Royal Society]. The paper, however, should not exceed 8 pages of Proceedings.
Sir Joseph Larmor is of opinion that the Council would limit the expenditure on plates to £10, and if it is considered necessary by yourself and the author to exceed this amount, that the University of Sheffield should bear the addition cost.'
