TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Secretary, HM Treasury
Date31 May 1910
Description'Sir,
Government Grant for Scientific Investigations.
I am directed by the President and Council of the Royal Society to call attention to paragraph numbered 36 of the Regulations for Administering the Government Grant, of which I enclose a copy, and to state that owing to the increasing number of applications received annually for grants and to the additional printing and other expenses consequently incurred, it is doubtful whether the sum of £200 specified in the Regulations will be sufficient for the future.
Under these circumstances the President and Council propose to alter the sum specified in the Regulations to "a sum not exceeding £250", and would be glad to know whether the Lords Commissioners are prepared to concur in this alteration.'
