Description'Sir,
Adverting to your letter of the 10th instant (R & S 1184) relating to the proposed conference of representatives of the Secretary of State for India with representatives of the Royal Society, I am directed by the President to say that, after consultation with the representatives appointed by the Royal Society as mentioned in our letter of the 27th ultimo, it is found that the day most generally convenient will be Tuesday, the 21st instant, and I am to suggest 3 o'clock as the hour for the conference at the India Office.'
